About the FDNY Staten Island Retirees
We are a group of retired and active New York City Firefighters, of all ranks, who proudly call Staten Island home — though our membership extends well beyond the borough. Our shared mission is to stay connected, support one another, and carry forward the values that defined our time on the job.
Through monthly meetings, social events, and ongoing communication, we work to maintain the strong bond of brotherhood that has always united us. We aim to create a space where members can stay informed, enjoy each other’s company, and continue to contribute to the community using the wealth of fire safety knowledge we’ve gained over the years.
Whether you’ve just retired or are still on the job, this is where the connection continues — even after the last tour.
Our Mission Statement
The FDNY Staten Island Retirees Association exists to unite former and active New York City Firefighters with ties to Staten Island in a spirit of brotherhood, mutual support, and continued service.
Brotherhood
We preserve and strengthen the unique bond that unites all firefighters, a bond forged through shared sacrifice, duty, and tradition. Our organization provides a space where this fellowship continues long after the last tour.
Support
We advocate for and protect the well-being of our members through information sharing, guidance on benefits and healthcare, and providing a network of mutual assistance in times of need.
Service
We channel our collective experience and knowledge to benefit our community through safety education, mentorship, and supporting initiatives that honor the legacy of the FDNY on Staten Island.
Remembrance
We honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and preserve their memory for future generations. Our organization serves as a living memorial to their courage and dedication.
